After ALL these years of trying to take a good Denali pic---and here I take one--almost by accident. This was taken from a moving shuttle bus, in front of the Natural Sciences Facility. Denali/Mt. McKinley is the blob just to the left of the setting sun; it is over 150 miles (!!) away.

View over the Tanana Flats, February, 2003. If ones look VERY closely, one can just see (far out, dead center) smoke rising from a chimney, trapped under a "temperature inversion." It extended southward for miles.
