For 30 (!!) years now, I have wanted to go to this place, off of Interstate 84, in New York—where I noticed a road, going through a swamp.

Well, we live in a different world—than we did 30 years ago.  Now, we have things like Google Maps, and we can learn, that this place is actually some place called. . . .

      Stewart State Forest

And we can get to it by. . . .

I took 747 to 207 (Little Britain Road).  There, I was able to find a couple of access points to the park.  Wait a minute! –What are GATES doing here?!  I thought I could just take Maple Ave up to that parking area, and. . . .

So—it's getting on in the day, and where I want to go, is a few MILES walk, along trails. . . .  And I'm already somewhat tired. . . .

Nonviable.

      But I've come such a long way—and waited such a long time. . . .

Wait a minute—isn't there road access, to that parking lot, at the top of the map?  Well, I just get back 747 north, and look for a road, that turns east. . . .  Well, there was one—17K to Ridge Road (south).

It took some improvisation, but I got there.  Part of me couldn't BELIEVE it—there I was: On that road through the swamp. . . .

I found that I couldn't get ALL the way to where I wanted to go—I'd need all day, a machete . . . and a hovercraft.  So, happy (AMAZED (!)) with what I had been able to accomplish, I headed back, in the twilight air. . . .

      And here is a rock:
