It all started with a Wandering Woodsman video: Searching for Lost Remanants (Poorman's Spring)

      I'm like, holy crap (!)—that's like, right down the road, from where I grew up, 'n stuff.  (!) I'll have to go hunt that down, some day. . . .

      After days of some serious climbing on all fours, up and down railroad right of ways, and sides of a (now defunct) canal— and some serious "swamp tromping," I finally. . . .

      The first thing that caught my eye, this day, was this incredible tree:



      This photo doesn't capture its majesty.  The bottom of the trunk, is not even contained in the photo.

      I found it!!!!

      I don't know what species this is—but the leaves and berries, have the most extraordinary smell.  (If one could make scented candles of it, one could sell it by the supertankerload.)



      Since early adolescence, I have called it "dragonsbane."  (I was reading "The Dragon Riders of Pern," at the time.)
