7/18/05 The "main wheel" was actually mounted on the bearing from the axle of an old trailer.  I thought I'd show you what the other side of the axle looked like.  It has been GROUND AWAY, by being dragged several MILES down the road after it had failed.

We can never really know---but we suspect that this may well have been "an alcohol-related incident." :) ;)

7/19/05 Now here was one part of the construction I did NOT like.  -We had to cut down some live trees:

I asked forgiveness (I'm not entirely sure from whom) for taking down such a beautiful creation.

The taiga is really something.  The moss you see is about 6" to a foot thick, and almost incredibly spongy.  :) :)

7/19/05 Another look in an Alaskan dumpter---treads. Whether they are from some sort of construction vehicle or a tank--I have no idea. . . .  But there they were---treads:

      :)

7/19/05 I stopped by to see how the other crew was doing.  -The nose knows:

      :) :)

      7/20/05 Heather expressed her sentiments---I couldn't agree more.  :) :)

I found it interesting that the U.S. is so pathologically litiginous---that even a 12-year-old will include the "TM" sign.  At that age, I was concerned with. . . .  Well, never mind! ;) ;) -But I wouldn't've been concerned with copyright infrigement!  :) :)

7/21/05 This one was sort of an afterthought; however, it garnered no small amount of attention---an opossum fixed up by Mary, in the jaws of a homemade T-Rex skeleton--recently repaired by Robert.

      :) :)

OF COURSE, we didn't miss any of "The Red Green Show" during this construction!  Here is the one where he builds a walkway to keep off the rain---with a length of drainage pipe, and a hockey stick.  :) :)

7/22/05 Regardless of how early we started (This year!  :) ;) ), regardless of how hard we worked--the final preparations were rushed.  Here is some last minute painting by Heather and Jennifer.  The story is this: The small possum, being chased by the tyrannosaur, is "Bubbles"; the large possum is Rosie, who is mad at, and chasing, the tyrannosaur, for chasing "Bubbles"; the tyrannosaur is Heather.  :) :)

There is also the significance that both opossum and tyrannosaurs were on the Earth at the same time. Opossum have been around that long. . . .

7/22/05 And here is the sunset--the sunset on all our work.  For good or for ill, we were done.
