Oh. No account of this character's adventures would be complete without a mention of "Gleepie - Dude." :) :(
I picked up this egg. Well, whad'da'ya' kknow—the egg done hatched. "Gleep?" (That apparently dragon for "Mommy!")
So, I had myself a pet baby dragon. Now, pet baby dragons don't usually do so well—they're high enough level
(yet low enough armor class)—that they tend to keep attacking things . . . they shouldn't. :p :(
Well, I was a priest(-ess). So, I brushed up on my healing spells. I worked
with Gleepie - Dude, and worked with Gleepie - Dude. . . .
Before too long, I had a SADDLED silver DRAGON—who went about kicking Angel butt (Man! –But if one gets enough
of those beggars, are they ever ANNOYING. (!!!!) :p :P ). I had these visions . . . of FLYING over the elemental
plane of fire. . . .
Well, Gleepie - Dude ATE a doppelganger corpse. –LIZARD. D'OH!
Still, Gleepie - Dude WAS our pet—so, we took care of him (/her?). Then, eventually, Gleepie - Dude was
disintegrated.
Thus ended Gleepie - Dude's story.

It is the "portal level" to the Wizard's Tower (That rock on the left, covers my stash. :) ;) ).
The entire moat—was painstakingly filled in with boulders. (At one point, I even 'morphed myself into a frost
giant—to carry three boulders upstairs. . . .)
At this point, I 'morphed myself into a rust monster—to eat ONE MORE ring of protection.
Well, then I figured I'd go down to the next level, with the altar, and eat all that crap, that was left
behind by all those summoned monsters. . . . Then, with NO WARNING (!!) I ended u choking to death on metal. I
HAD an amulet of life saving on . . . but this STILL SUCKED.

Now, when one has the amulet [of Yendor], one always wants to be sure—to speak one last time, with the
Quest Level head–dude. Each one (character class) gets a different message about the Endgame.
A priest's is perhaps the most explicit of all:
"You have prevailed, ***********! Amaterasu Omikami is surely with you. Now,
you must take the amulet, and sacrifice it on Amaterasu Omikami's altar on
the Astral plane. I suspect that I shall never see you again in this
life, but I hope to at Amaterasu Omikami's feet."

Then, I was at the bottom level of Sokoban, my polypiling station. I was tuning my "ascension kit"—over,
and over, and over again . . . SOO many gems, that I had trouble getting light enough, to keep going upstairs. . . .
(It turns out—I had an unknown pick-axe, in my inventory—one has to look out for that.)
Finally, I said, "Let's just GO."—and did.

I had some REALLY hairy moments with Pestilence. . . .
I drank potions; I "applied" a unicorn horn. . . .
Finally, out of potions, stunned (resulting in my having attacked a chaotic high priest. . . .), Pestilence
on the ground, I just kept applying the unicorn horn. –Always worked before. . . .
Finally, after something like 5? 7? tries, it worked. What a mess.
