Welcome to Manitoba.  I encountered, quite possibly, the friendliest Quebocois that I had ever met, here.  Like me, they were taking pictures of the province welcome signs that they passed.

A note, here: Driving the bypass around Winnipeg (no pictures) was quite an experience.  One was driving around this HUMONGOUS circle, in a totally rural prairie--with views of the "big city", just in view toward the center.  It was a "set-up" (for lack of a better word to call it) so simple, functional, clean, and yet beautiful--that only Canadians could've come up with it.

This is a _real_ sign.  I'm not really sure, now just where I took this one.  -Was it just bit north of Portage la Praire?

When I crossed into Saskatchewan this time, it was the first time I had been there--in 32 years!! -You can be sure that I was less than pleased--when I found out that the picture didn't "come out." :( Grrrr.  The amount of bugs was . . . indescribable.  :P

And here are . . . the world's largest Canadian dollars! Wheeee.

I forget what town these were in--but they were the town's largest attraction.  -Sort of makes one think of Fireside, Iowa, eh? :)

On to pictures of wonderful Mozart, Saskatchewan.
