11/8/05 :) Shown are (left to right) Ashley (way cool---if a bit . . . hyper :) ;) ), Martha (WAY cool---went back to East LA. (. . .)), and one can just see Laura, 'n stuff:

11/11/05 This was the first day I got to try out my NEW CAMERA!  :) :) The zoom was/is incredible.  This picture was taken across the entire length of the GI.  :)

      :)

11/12/05 I probably should've taken this one with the new camera. . . .  -Cool blue/red contrast on the steam rising out of the boiler at my (then) apartment complex:

11/14/05 Two shots of the moon---over the Arctic Health building.  (That's where the state keeps the NASTY GERMS.  :) :) ) The moon is INCREDIBLY difficult to photograph---the exposures are HORRENDOUS.  Of course, at this point, I didn't know that.  -I thought my problems were all due to my own incompetence.  ;) -It wasn't 'til later that Poul told me. . . .  :)

11/15/05 A GORGEOUS sunset. -This has come to rate as one of my all-time best pictures:

      :) :)

11/15/05 A really cool "moon halo." (Also deemed one of my all-time best pictures. :) (!) ) -A member of my committee claims that he was trying to capture [photograph] the very same halo---but couldn't fit it all into one pic.  (. . .)

11/16/05 Two pics of snow falling and steet lamp---two different exposures.  (. . .) -This one(/these two :) :) ) made me REALLY wish I'd had the "good (new) camera. . . ."

      :( :P

On to more Alaska pics.
