12/30/05 With my newfangled camera, I wondered if I would be able to take expsures of the stars. . . .  I guess I can:

      :) :) Shown above is Orion---and the "winter triangle."  I have been lookin' at these (specifically) since I was a kid.  It was so cool---to finally be able to capture them "on film."  :) :)

      12/30/05 A beautiful Alaskan sunset.  -Although purely by accident [that this was, like, the last picture, 'n stuff], this does seem like a wonderful way to "close."  :) :)

      Well, I hope you've enjoyed our little sojourn through Alaska life.  I am having trouble reporting on it objectively, anymore.  After FIVE YEARS of being stuck here, pursuing a PhD, I seem to have "become an Alaskan"---and don't see the perpetual and ubiquitous strangeness around me as anything out of the ordinary anymore.  Humph. -And somehow I can't seem to regret that one bit.  :)
