I found myself driving past the (aforementioned) HVCC. Just across the street [from it], is the oldest bar in the Albany area---or something like that. I had/have been meaning for YEARS to, like, have a beer there, 'n stuff. (In fact, I had a "lab"--that looked out over it. I had been "threatening" for the entire semester to. . . .)
(Self-)Redacted text. :) :) ;) ;) Now, I was on the tail end of the taking of some medication (for toe fungus, if ya' really need to know. . . . ( :P :P ))---that prevented me from having ANY alcohol. (!!) (And here I was---trying to write my THESIS (and no booze (!!!!))) However, I decided---under the circumstances, I was going to have one anyway. -The trouble was---I couldn't FIND the place. (!) Now, here comes the WEIRD part: For something like 1 & 1/2 years, I drove this route almost every single day---however . . . I couldn't find the way to my old apartment. (!!!!) (I did, however, find--and I kid you not--the "Bizarro Funeral Home." Along with the "Amigone Funeral Home" near Buffalo, New York---I came to consider a "weird(ly) named funeral homes in New York State link"---nah. . . . :) ) I then found myself driving in front of the Emma Willard School (for ritzy girls). "Local legend" has it, that Jane Fonda lost her virginity here---at a frat party, after climbing the fence. Switching channels entirely, I'm somewhat AMAZED---that no one has assassinated her. (. . .)) An-y-way, from there (My mind just dumping information---I remember a story of my "big brother" (at A-Phi-O), driving down that one road (which she [they] found led to Massachusetts---"just as fast as that car would go." (. . .)), I was able to find the apartment that I used to live at. (I remember this one view---of houses on a hill. (. . .) -Not able to find. (. . .) -Perhaps if I live long enough--and travel isn't "restricted" in "the Land of the Free" in the future--I'll try again some day. (. . .)) AN-Y-WAY, I was able to find all three places that I had lived in, over those years spent [TOTALLY wasted] at RPI/HVCC. That was a "blast from the past," believe you me. (. . .) (I guess I should mention---this(/that) was something akin to 20 (!!!!) year ago. (. . .))
My . . . that went fast. (. . .)
