We took a trip down The Icefields Parkway.  Jasper and Lake Louise are cool, but Banff downright blows.  This time, I hit The Columbia Icefields during the daytime.  That was most cool, indeed.  :)

   The Columbia Ice Field is Canada's largest glacier.  It is over 625 square kilometers, making it larger than Vancouver.  At its thickest point, it is "taller" than a sixteen story skyscraper.  And its location means that it flows/drains into _three_ _different_ oceans--an almost unique occurence on Earth.

   Note: Walking on the glacier is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.  :O

   And finally, here is a picture "across the way." I took this picture because this view was bleak, stark--yet almost spiritual in its purity.
