Are these pictures of the world-famous Mount Rainier? -I honestly don't know:
Well, I sincerely hope that you have enjoyed this little "photo jaunt" through the world of modern travel. We _did_ have a little excitement toward the end of the journey. Right as we were making "final approach" to Anchorage Airport, an aileron (spelling?) jammed, and we started spiraling down towards the bay. Now, I enjoy flying--I can't really understand why so many peeps are so afraid of it, 'n stuff. However, looking down at that approaching water, knowing that it was at--or just below, remember: it was salt water--freezing, with the full knowledge that I _might_ last as long as two minutes in water that cold . . . I began to understand the concern. . . . :)
When we got back to Fairbanks, it was about 16 below (Farenheit)--and the first time I had felt comfortable outside in some time. (Cold adaption is a truly extraordinary thing.) -But what really told me--above all else--was the faint green, nearly motionless aurora on the northern horizon---that I was finally. . . .
HOME.
