Here is a quaint little dam (dam, Dam, DAM!! -I apologize profusely for the sudden burst of immaturity. I'm sorry--but "summer camp habits" die awfully hard, it seems. :) ) near the town of Bailey. I think it is on Bailey Run Road. I meant to remember it [the road], but forgot. :( Being in Alaska, I pulled up a map from the web. It never ceases to AMAZE me--just how information in on there, 'n stuff. . . .
the following is _not_ a good picture. It is of the old foundry--also near (in?) the town of Bailey, just off of Old Bailey Road.
This one is for Sherilyn - Dude. I have been meaning to get you a picture of this . . . for years, now. :O
The sign can be found on Interstate 84, westbound--not too awfully far from the New Yuck (sic) State border. I had just taken "a swing" around to see the Manhattan skyline. This was not all that long after "911"--and I think that [the detour] was a bit of a mistake. Seeing--first hand--the permanent alteration of New York City . . . was not an image that I could get out of my mind all that quickly. . . . :(
What is high in the middle, and round at both ends?
