It's a RHINO!!!!
Every hour, he ROARS. I first heard the roar, before I saw him. This is how I knew, we had arrived:
Now showing:
I haven't decided, yet—if there's just something WRONG with this, or if it's one of the coolest things ever.
I NEVER expected this, to be so popular here. . . .
This is where, they had the "red carpet walk"‐118.5 meters, the height of the tallest Godzilla yet.
I NEVER imagined, I'd ever be here. . . .
Something to mention here—I never knew, that the Gracery (Godzilla) Hotel, was located, in the "red light district" of Shinjuku. In fact, at the entrance to the theatre, was what I fully believe to have been a "working girl." From the look of 'er, I don't think she'd have to work all that hard. . . .
Yi.
This way to the Godzilla Head. (!)
A child's mural. It was very . . . unexpected and heartwarming, to find such a thing, in such a . . . formal place. Ah, Japan. :) :) Note that there was (quite) a bit more to it; however, it was hard to photograph, more than what I've shown.
The longest running movie franchise in human history:
(This picture was–technically–difficult to take.)
This way, to the Godzilla Head. (!)
Confectionaries:
Here we were to learn, that the Godzilla Head, is only accessible to guests of the Hotel, and of the Cafe. So, we made ourselves guests of the Cafe (I had two Scotch whiskeys. :) ;) ). We couldn't help noticing, and I now can't help mentioning, that the service here, was downright rude. Now, to make the Japanese rude, one has to do something terrible. To this day, we have no idea, just what it was. . . .
The Godzilla Head. (!!!!)
Normally, I keep "lens flares" out of my photography. This time, however, I worked this one in intentionally—as I felt it added to his scale and magnificence.
Some murals—depicting his past exploits and accomplishments. The descriptions were . . . incredibly detailed.
There was a patch, in the rock wall, where a reachable section of Godzilla was accessible. I was to come to learn—that this is so tourists can feel/pet him (which I was to see some Japanese people doing). This seemed kind of strange to me—as it was all painted concrete, but. . . .
I schlepped a Pinball Wizard Arcade token halfway around the world, to get a shop of 'er in Japan. I got the best—next to the Godzilla Head, on the Hotel Gracery, in Shinjuku.
:) :)
(Sarah, the owner, was very pleased.)
( :) :) :) :) )
Some artwork in a restaurant in the same "complex" as the Hotel Gracery. They served the best NOODLES I have ever eaten.

"Is that building, supposed to be a ship?"
Seeing the first Toho Godzilla movie in over 12 years (and in the "Godzilla Motel" (!!!!))–Shin Godzilla–rates among my peak life experiences.
(The movie was/is EXTRAORDINARY, by the way..)
