The Regatta was only the beginning.  Afterwards came hours of "cleaning up." And although we had positively gorgeous weather on both sides of the "race," it was well-nigh miserable both before and after the event.  It rained, beforehand; afterwards, we had both rain, and perhaps the strongest wind(s) I have ever seen in the [Alaskan] Interior.  I clearly remember a LIFE PERSERVER, blowing across the lot.  (!!!!) All told, we were at it from 5 in morning, to 8 at night.  :P

A picture of the (partially) disassembled craft:

A LOT of hard work ensued:

      Jennifer: "What is it?":

      It's a "Bubbles":

I am "Bubbles," hear me bap.

      :)

After the race, I was still "dog wrangler." :) I had always wanted to walk out on the dock that they have there--on the southern shore of the Chena [River], at the northern extremity of Alaskaland (subsequently renamed "Pioneer Park").  I got my chance to do just that.  I also got a chance to take a close look at some of the other peep's craft.

Here is a fully contained "minature golf course":

I thought that that was both clever and cute.  :)

And here is a floating bathtub, complete with mounted flamingoes.

I am at a complete loss for a comment ( :) )---which is unusual for me.  :)

      Rowwrrrr!

      :)

On to more pics of the Regatta aftermath.
