Construction for this year's craft was SOO involved, that we separated our efforts into two separate projects.  The following is a journey through what I call the "head construction."

I was only present for a very little bit of this construction; so, I just chose some pics that I thought were representative (or funny ;) :) ), and put some text around them.  -Enjoy!  :)

The SPS (Society of Physics Students) crew, pretty much independently of us, constructed a TITANIC head of Einstein--to celebrate the Interational Year of Physics.  Some of the early construction:

This next one was pretty funny (at least, I think that's why Rachael took this pic :) ).

It was kind of funny. . . .  Some group put up all these "evolution posters" (of which the above is one) all over campus---there were (at the very least) a hundred of them.  One got the distinct impression that they were trying to vex the Christian Right.  However, the Christian Right response seemed to be, "Yeah, whatever." :) :)

      The inimitable Jason McDonald:

      Um. . . .

      :)

That's braver that I would've been/I wondered how he got his toupé to stick.  :) :)

The Eye. Racheal did a remarkable job in painting lifelike features on the finished head.

On to more pics of the "head construction."
