Alaska's future:

      :)

Heather (shown above) said something so priceless, that I feel needs mentioning, here---even though is has nothing whatsoever to do with Red Green, the Regatta, etc.  When asked if given three wishes, what she would wish for, Heather responded:

            1) End all hunger on the planet

            2) World peace

            3) All blood-sucking insects would DIE!!

Ah . . . Alaska through the eyes of a child.  :) :) (The concentration(s) of mosquitoes in the arctic defies description---perhaps even imagination!!)

A shot of the crew, shortly before lauch:

-Watch the bunny ears there, Brian.  :) :)

      The bubble pipe actually worked:

Prepped for launch, many craft and peeps about:

Prior to launch, "The Igloo" crashed into us.

The announcer called out, "'The Igloo' just crashed into the Einstein head---it was a collision of the far-northern kind." :) (I thought that that was actually a little clever ( :) )---and coming up with it "on the spot," and all. . . .  :) :) )

      LAUNCH!:

We were actually late in our launch.  Even starting a 5 in the morning (!!), and working diligently the whole time, we were still just a little bit late.  It turned out to be a little more difficult than we expected--putting on the cotter pins. . . .

      The Elk, again:

      The power plant:

On to more pics of the race!
