So, at what temperature are the Celsius and Farenheit scales the same? -The answer, of course, is -40.

To most people, a temperature like that, is just an abstract number--not something that one would ever actually expect to experience.  In Interior Alaska, it is just another fact of living here:

At that temperature, the rules of living are . . . a little bit different.   For instance--look at what just a few second of drifting exhaust from a fully warm engine will do:

Laura was having difficulty adjusting the timing of her shots with the digital camera.  Here is another shot of the Celsius scale:

The sign was actually reading -40 Farenheit just before this picture was taken.  Again, there was difficulty in the timing of the taking of these pictures.

   Miscellaneous Pics:

Here is a picture of Elaine Williams.  What can I say? -Elaine is really cool.  :)

    . . . And enjoying a bottle of wine:

    . . . Actually, the wine was non-alcoholic.  I _was_ at Elaine's 21st most bodacious b-day party--but unfortunately I don't have any pics.  :(

And this is Katherine.  She invariably introduces herself as "Elaine's pimp." -I ask no questions, I hear no lies.  :)

On to YET MORE pictures of Alaska, 'n stuff.  Man, John--how many pics you got in this link?!
