9/30/05 A tribute to survival: This little plant-dude, fallen from a hanging planter, managed to sprout, and not only survive--but thrive--in a little crack between the sidewalk and the wall. . . .

      10/2/05 Warning. . . . The following is a bit . . . grisly.  :P :P

-In fact, SOO much so---that I have added a "mini-link," that one must click on, to see the next pic, 'n stuff.  -Now WHY did I look into this dumpster??  :P :P :P :P

A bit . . . grisly. . . . :P :P

Note: The webmaster has a real thing about "hotlinks."  (And very well rightly so.)  -So, if the above link doesn't open properly, just click it again---and hit "reload. . . ."

10/3/05 I'm not sure I really remember why I took the next picture---I imagine it was the "wing" on the table.  :P :P It's against the . . . policy of this apartment complex to allow (ahem!) fires; so, they have a little "pit" dug here at the back.  I've been back here a coupl'a times: drinkin' beer with cool Alaska fellows---thinkin' deep thoughts. . . .

10/3/05 Two pictures of a GREAT sunset---goin' down behind the Golden Valley Generating Station.  I SO wish these had come out better.  (!!)

10/8/05 Another picture of a great sunset (with "light pillar")---taken in the parking lot in front of the GI (Geophysical Institute) :

10/8/05 Another picture of a great sunset (Was it that same one as above??  -I think it would have to be--given the date.  :) ;) )---taken out of the 7th floor of the GI:

10/10/05 A picture of a REAL Alaskan---me. :) :) (Brandishing an assault rifle.) -Now . . . if I could only do something about the DOOFY expression on my face:

      :P :) ;)

On to more Alaska pics.
