10/29/05 The same "fire pit"---shown on the previous page.  I took this picture because of the frozen foam on the beer.  In the last picture, things were still pretty green.  Winter comes fast at 65 north latitude.  In fact, one can actually feel it comin'. . . .

      I've never quite figured this one out.  -Every year, they put someone's "face" (picture) in "the coffin."  They sometimes even have this "big hype" over the "allgi [e]mail list": Find out whose face is in the coffin this year!

      11/4/05 Ouch. -As I must've said already, accidents where I (used to) live are all too common.  :( :(

      I think this was the one where I walked up, took a picture, and this woman (actually a bit . . . "concerned," or something) said, "He just took a picture."  The cop replied: "I don't know why---there wasn't any bodily injury."  I thought it best just to walk away.  (. . .)
