Since about 1983 (!), I have wanted to walk up to Hawk Rock--on the Appalachian Trail.  The only trouble was, I couldn't get anyone to tell me exactly where it was.  So, you only imagine the feeling of accomplishment I experienced, *FINALLY* climbing up there--in early 2002---little did I know that I was going to see the most astounding view of the junction of the Juniata and Susquehanna Rivers (I have been told--over many years--that that is the easiest place to find, in the state of Pennsylvania.) that I have ever seen.

   The view . . . DOWN:

-And here I am, at the top--16 oz. Budweiser in hand.  During the more breathless moments of the ascent, I said to think of this as a sort of "Redneck Haj." :)

   Sorry ladies--he's quite taken.

The trip home.
