FINALLY, on July 22, the day of the 2005 Red Green River Regatta arrived.  :) We had gorgeous weather for the event.  This was a very lucky thing---for it rained on both sides of the event.  :)

We had to be there are 5 in the morning---that's right: five in the morning.

Everything--and I do mean everything--had to be prepared, and moved:

It seems kind of weird, seein' that 400 lb. wheel, that we had worked so long and hard on, towed down the road behind Robert's Toyota:

I imagine it also seemed odd for the other construction crew, to see the Einstein head, loaded up and carted down the road in a like manner:

      Our drive wheels:

       . . . and. . . .

Our dino-dude. This was featured prominently on Alaska's Public TV station, "Alaska One," video on the event.  (Living in a state with only one--ONE!!--public television station. . . .  Yi.)

      The wheel:

As mentioned in the "Construction main" link, the story of the wheel is as follows: The small possum, being chased by the tyrannosaur, is "Bubbles"; the large possum is Rosie, who is mad at, and chasing, the tyrannosaur, for chasing "Bubbles"; the tyrannosaur is Heather.  :) :)

On to more pics of the race!
